Strange things I have experienced this week:
- Park warden driving around like a loon all over the grass in his petrol buggy, screeching to a halt and leaning out to pick up litter with his grabby thing. I'm pretty sure it wasn't Baden Powell driving it, use your legs man!
- Closed ice cream hut in the park, with owner sitting outside at a plastic table eating an ice cream. This is a recession you poltroon!
- M'laddo reinventing the drive in movie theatre by sitting in his ebay acquired Little Tykes car on the patio watching Bee Movie through the window. Play outside offspring of my loins!!!
- Cyberpatrols concept of a year appears to only run to 2 months. Wifey was asked to review it on her blog in April, the incentive being we got a full years subscription for it. Two months later its expired. Lets hope this doesn't happen when you buy it normally as its a bugger to uninstall.
Nope. Sounds all fairly normal to me. You are going mad, Alex. Sad but mad. :-)
ReplyDeleteI did miss of number five though:
ReplyDelete5. we went out for dinner on our anniversary only to be confronted by a 20 something wearing a tweed flat cap indoors, all through his meal at another table. Either: 1) come to terms with the fact you're balding or 2) get a wig but wearing a hat indoors is the height of bad manners. His girlfriend didn't have the shame to look embarressed either.
Haha. Now I know. You are just getting terribly old. Like the kind of guy that spends hours behind the curtain, spying on the neighbours.
ReplyDeleteI normally take a trip on the 255 bus to Stretford....that's a whole wealth of strange! The things you learn when you're eavesdropping. #5 (the hat thing) would've annoyed me. I'm rapidly approaching grumpy old womanhood. You should've let him know he won't feel the benefit if he carries on so.
