Being a man, I’m generally in the wrong anyway, it’s sort of my default position but it’s something that the kids have picked up on recently and have started taking to heart.
The boy, who has a strong sense of right and wrong, often calls me a naughty daddy whenever I do something as heinous as turning off an episode of Doctor Who before it’s finished or making him do his homework. As his vocabulary gets better, so does his use of idioms, and I fear where this will leave me in the near future.
Fifi on the other hand still calls me silly-billy, and generally shouts at me when she thinks I’ve been naughty and Danger just duffs me up. Ah- those simpler times, how I long for them.
