It’s not all Disney soundtracks in this house

Our eldest was accidentally born to Megadeth’s rather raucous Symphony of Destruction. Aptly. And we’ve always taken a care to encourage them to listen to proper music, rather than anodyne nursery rhyme stuff. So whilst I habour a secret love for the Tangled soundtrack, the kids get plenty of proper music too. Yesterday while the boy was at Young Archaeologists Club, Fifi and Ned got the experience Pink Floyd’s 1979 masterpiece The Wall. Even if you’re not a Floyd fan, you’ll know Another Brick in the Wall (part 2), well now Fifi and Ned do too. They’ve even worked out their own interpretive dance to it which isn’t anywhere near as pretentious as most of Roger Waters post Floyd output.
