Blog disclosure

I get offered stuff for free all the time. It’s not why I started blogging back in 2009 but I’d be lying if I said I lay awake in bed worrying about being sent free stuff. I’ve got plenty of other things to worry about late at night, ranging from getting enough sleep to most recently Arsenal’s annual injury crisis.

If I’ve been sent something to review for free, you should see it disclosed in the review. If I have to send it back, you’ll also notice I’ll disclose that. If I’ve been sent something to review and keep or review and send back, rest assured I’ve not been paid to write that review. Some “pro” bloggers charge a fee on top of getting free items. I’m not a pro blogger and I personally think that is disingenuous at best (see my post on Pro Bloggers). I will only accept items for review that I’ve researched and think I will like, life is too short to take crap and write crap, just so I can resell crap on eBay.

If you see something in my “Featured” category, I’ve entered a transaction to write that article or have it placed there by a copywriter. This may be in the form of cash, vouchers, discounts, or products. You can see the category at the foot of each post, should you be in doubt.

On occasion across my blog I will use Amazon Affiliate links and I have a Skimlinks plugin running at the moment.
