An interesting start to our summer holiday!

We love holidaying up in Norfolk. Come rain or shine there’s always plenty to do and it has some of the loveliest (and cleanest) beaches you’ll ever see. Of course there tends to be plenty of rain but we usually ensconce ourselves in the bird reserves at Titchwell or Cley. Peaceful times.
Today was a first though, the rain must have been astonishing since a lot of the roads had turned to rivers flowing down on to the coastal road. This came to a head at Burnham Deepale in a natural dip in the land. I’ve never seen a flood like it up here!
We did a three point turn and headed in land for a few miles, rejoining the coastal road 5 miles further along. What an adventure!!!
