We had a Halloween party on Friday. Nothing elaborate, just some friends round who have three kids that ours have know all their lives and also go to school with. Wifey is besties with the mum, and I’m good friends with the dad. Unfortunately he couldn’t make it due to work commitments, so I was the spare wheel.
When the kids got on to discussing what play dates they’d like going forwards the next day,we pointed out they had one the previous night. In fact, I added, I was the only person who didn’t have a play date because my buddy MB was still at work. That was when the boy came out with the pearl above and put me firmly in my place.
Kids eh?
