Every now and then we have to make the boy go cold turkey on technology- iPads, computers and telly. We knew it was time over the weekend when we found him playing Minecraft on the computer, with his headphones on and half watching cartoons on the iPad.
He’s a boy who can’t do things in moderation- last year I came back from the Christmas party to find him up watching telly at 1am, and recently when the lady wife went to the toilet at 4:30am, he was still up. When it gets this bad, we have an “intervention” and unplug/confiscate the tech. There is initially a (very) bad reaction, and then something great happens- he starts drawing comics, or reading books…
